We were so blessed to have a visit from Great G'ma Elaine. She spent two days with us and we showed her a good time. The first day we went to a park and shared some new experiences. As soon as we got out of the car there was a bunch of leaves waiting to be played with. The boys haven't had a chance to play in a big pile of leaves yet so this was a treat. We eventually dragged them away from the parking lot and over to the water. I didn't capture any pictures of the boys by the water. Grandma and I were too busy trying to keep the boys from jumping in after the ducks.
After visiting the ducks we discovered the geese walking around and they looked like a good target. William made off for them with determination. Grandma chased after him to make sure the geese didn't attack.
We walked around the park found ourselves near the volleyball court. William loves texture and he had to spend some time feeling the sand. Levi did too but it wasn't as interesting for him.
Then we discovered the playground equipment. Yay, they have a slide!
The boys had a lot of fun going down this slide but William later found the "big kids" slide. Let's just say he decided to go down it but didn't enjoy the landing. There was crying and then he went off to start a temper tantrum. But then he discovered the dirt and mulch. He started tossing it in the air and it came down on his face. Oooh! He liked that. He tossed dirt on his face over and over and then he completely forgot about the slide incident.
Before leaving the park we found the swings. Levi knew what they were and couldn't get in them fast enough. It was great fun.
After the park we took the boys home for their nap. We left them at home with my mom and then went shopping. Grandma wanted to get them ready for winter so off we went to find snowpants, coats, boots, hats and mittens. They are ready for the snow. So....let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
Our second day with Grandma we went to Playworld and had a grand old time. They showed her all the toys. Levi found his favorite car and Grandma pushed him around for a bit. They played in the houses opening and closing doors and windows.
I love my Tigers!
After a good hard playtime we stopped to eat lunch and then went back home for a nap. I was so pleased that they interacted with her so easily and were able to show her their personalities so well.
That evening Grandma and I went out for dinner and we had a lovely time. Good food. Good conversation. And then a good night. Grandma had a long drive home the next day so we made sure she went to bed on time. Thanks for coming up for a visit Grandma! We miss you already and can't wait to see you again soon.
